Trump travel ban: Court battle heats up over President's controversial order
Donald Trump's controversial travel ban has faced a fierce examination by the judges who will decide if it should be reinstated. A panel of three appeal court justices heard arguments from the Trump administration's Department of Justice and opponents of his Executive Order. It followed a White House appeal against a restraining order imposed by a judge last week which has forced the government to temporarily lift the travel ban.

Japanese officials are optimistic the invitation to visit Trump's "Winter White House," an exclusive club he owns in Palm Beach, signals a more positive outcome. "We hope that the two leaders can deepen relations and trust in Florida," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters in announcing the trip.
