A new front has emerged in the virtual war between Silicon Valley and the White House as almost 100 firms including Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter filed legal opposition to President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration. Airbnb, Uber, Dropbox, eBay, Lyft, Spotify and Kickstarter are also among the technology giants that filed an amicus brief (“friend of the court”) document, filed by non-litigants with a heavy interest in the subject, to the ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals.
