More than 200 people were killed when a mudslide struck the outskirts of Sierra Leone's capital Freetown on Monday, sweeping away homes. The Red Cross said at least 205 bodies had been taken to the central morgue in Freetown. The death toll is expected to rise as more bodies are recovered, Red Cross spokesman Abu Bakarr Tarawallie said.

A teacher gave birth to her pupil's child after allegedly grooming him from the age of 14. Laura Lynn Cross, 36, is said to have had a three-year sexual relationship with the boy and posed as his "mentor" so he could move into her home.
