The iPhone 7 featured one of my least favorite trends in smartphones (killing the headphone jack), so I've wondered how Apple would irk me next. This image suggests the iPhone 8's fingerprint scanner will be found under the Apple log on its back. A recent post on rumor aggregation site Slashleaks shows a schematic of the forthcoming iPhone 8 with its fingerprint sensor below the Apple logo on the phone's back.
A goat with one large eye in the middle of its forehead — a rare birth defect known as cyclopia — was born in a village in Assam, India, on May 10. Cyclopia is a severe form of a disorder called holoprosencephaly, which emerges during fetal development when the brain doesn't divide into two distinct hemispheres. A fetus with cyclopia fails to develop two eye cavities, instead forming a single central eye cavity that can contain one oversize eye or two partially fused eyeballs.
China and Russia on Monday launched an ambitious project to jointly develop a long-haul jet to challenge Boeing and Airbus, just two weeks after the successful test flight of the first made-in-China large passenger plane. State-run Chinese manufacturer Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said they formally established the previously announced joint venture in Shanghai on Monday.
