FBI arrests Mexican prosecutor over drug trafficking
FBI agents have arrested a Mexican prosecutor suspected of involvement in the production and trafficking of illegal drugs including heroin and cocaine into the United States, authorities said on Wednesday. Edgar Veytia, the attorney general in Mexico's western state of Nayarit, was arrested Monday at the US border in San Diego. "This is a development that we were not expecting," Nayarit Governor Roberto Sandoval said without addressing the alleged high-level crime.
